Christmas tree (Nuytsia floribunda)

Christmas tree grows on the Swan coastal plain. It is semi-parasitic and grows up to 8 m tall. It has a well-developed starchy trunk. Bright orange flowers are produced from late spring to early summer and herald the approach of Christmas.
