Basket Bush grows by the coast, by the Swan estuary and on Perth’s offshore islands. When exposed to salty sea winds, it will keep low and spread out, whereas when protected, it can grow 4-5 m tall. The common form of basket bush has leaves that are green on the outside and almost white on the underside. Dead leaves are yellow in appearance. Abundant tiny flowers are produced in winter.
